percebi... Minha família hospedeira me ensinou várias coisas, porém a que teve

It will be
three months that I have been here and it comes with a certain nostalgic
feeling. There are so many formed plans and I’m willing to come back and make
each one of them become true, but I don’t want to leave this dream I am living.
I know it is too soon to think about the end, but maybe this is what motivated
me to enjoy every moment of it.
During a
Skype call, someone told me I look happier and I spent some time thinking about
it. Mostly when I was sad and suddenly I realized… My host family taught me
many things, but the one thing that had more effect on me was to smile. Laugh
with no reason, laugh of everything, laugh of ourselves, laugh, laugh and
laugh.
My host
sister, even after a whole school day, lots of homework to do and not too much
time to make it, she gets home, puts some music on in the kitchen, and she
dances and laughs, even though her day wasn’t that good. I confess that, in the
first few times I also did it because I wanted her to like me. Today I do
because I want to, and I can see how this little habit have changed my way of
feeling.
Dancing in
funny ways is also beautiful; the difference is pretty and liberating. Getting
to know new moves (commons in each culture), finding out new truths Living in
this mix of cultures has made me discover unimaginable horizons and I don’t
want to wake up.
